The Science Behind It All

  • According to the World Health Organization, some natural toxins can be formed in food as defense mechanisms of plants, through their infestation with toxin producing molds/fungus, or through ingestion by animals of toxin producing microorganisms. Adverse health effects can be acute poisoning ranging from allergic reactions to severe stomach ache & diarrhea and even death. Long term health consequences include effects on the immune system, reproductive or nervous systems, and also cancers. Natural toxins are toxic compounds that are naturally produced by living organisms. These toxins are not harmful to the organism themselves but they may be toxic to other creatures, including humans, when eaten. These chemical compounds have diverse structures & differ in biological function & toxicity.

Much of your everyday life includes exposure to toxin whether natural or chemical. The average person is exposed to more than 700,000 toxic chemicals a day, from natural & human made sources.

Our liver, kidney & spleen filter toxin naturally. However toxin overload can damage your body by poisoning your enzymes, preventing your body from functioning properly.

While you can limit some exposure to toxins, it’s impossible to remove your exposure altogether. The liver & kidneys are at the highest risk for toxin induced damage.

Signs you have toxin build up:

Imagine sitting down at your favorite restaurant eating a delicious meal, with every bite you may be consuming harmful toxins either from the natural defense mechanism of the food itself (which some are not destroyed but rather activated by cooking), preservatives, artificial dyes & additives. While small amounts may go unnoticed, once your body reaches a tipping point you are faced with unpleasant side effects, which can include but not limited to:

    ·      Brain fog

    ·      Fatigue

    ·      Headaches

    ·      Mental confusion

    ·      Hair loss

    ·      Nausea

    ·      Bad breath

    ·      Brittle nails

    ·      Weight gain

    ·      Back pain/joint pain

    ·      Inflammation

    ·      Increased urination

    ·      Rashes

    ·      Itchiness

    ·      Weakness

    ·      Diarrhea

While these are generally short-term effects of toxin build up, long term effects can lead to harmful consequences.

Fat cells can store lipophilic toxins (like pesticides or heavy metals). During stress or rapid weight loss, these toxins may be released into the blood stream causing symptoms.

Trauma can trigger the release of cortisol, adrenaline & other stress hormones, which in high doses or chronic exposure can damage tissue, impair memory & affect immune function – almost like an “internal poison”.

It is vital to undergo regular detoxing to make sure your body can function at its best & help prevent disease.

  • Acupuncture works by stimulating the nervous system, which triggers the release of endorphins (natural pain killers & mood-boosting effects), improves blood circulation, and reduce inflammation. Modern research also indicates that acupuncture can influence the autonomic nervous system, which is responsible for functions, such as heart rate & blood pressure, potentially promoting relaxation & improving overall health.

According to a Harvard Medical School Study modern research suggests the role of specific acupuncture points stimulate specific nerve pathways and the distribution of sensory neurons can trigger and activate physiological responses.

  • Cupping therapy, an ancient tool involving applying suction cups to the skin, creating negative pressure that helps lift & separate the fascial layers. This mechanical effect enhances blood flow, promotes lymphatic mobility & facilitates the reduction of fascial densification. A key benefit of cupping therapy is its ability to enhance fascial glide, which is essential for normal muscle function & flexibility. By reducing friction between the fascial layers, cupping allows for smoother movement of muscles & other structures especially in the shoulders, back, hips & knees.

Here is a more detailed look at what cupping does:

    1) Increased blood flow & circulation – cupping creates suction, which draws blood to the surface of the skin, dilating blood vessels & increasing local blood flow. This improved circulation can help deliver oxygen, nutrients, and immune cells to the treated area, aiding in tissue repair & reducing inflammation. Increased blood flow also assists to eliminate accumulated metabolic waste products & toxins from the body.

    2) Pain relief – by increasing blood flow & promoting relaxation of the muscles & fascia (connective tissue), can help to reduce muscle spasms & pain. This improved microcirculation is essential for healing areas affected by ischemia, which can lead to pain & hypersensitivity due to restricted blood flow to tissues. It is often used to address musculoskeletal pain – such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches. The suction may trigger the release of endorphins, which are the body’s natural pain relievers.

    3) Reduced inflammation – cupping can stimulate a mild inflammatory response, which can be beneficial for healing. The increased blood flow helps to bring immune cells & other healing agents to the treated area, by targeting both peripheral & central sensitization.

This can help to reduce inflammation associated with various conditions, including muscle strains, arthritis, & other inflammatory disorders.

    4) Fascia release – cupping assists to release tension in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscle and organs. Fascial densification refers to areas of connective tissue with increased tissue stiffness & reduced hydration. By softening adhesions & improving tissue mobility, cupping can contribute to increased flexibility & increase range of motion.

    5) Detoxification – cupping can help to draw out toxins & waste products from the body, potentially improving overall health. The increased blood flow & lymphatic drainage from cupping may support the body’s natural detoxification process.

Several studies support the mechanisms of pain reduction & improved mobility through cupping therapy, providing a solid foundation for its effectiveness.

Integrating cupping therapy with movement – movement & pressure are combined to maximize therapeutic benefits. This approach, known as Dynamic Cupping or Myofascial Decompression, involves executing specific movements or exercises while the cups are applied. The combination of negative pressure & movement enhances the mechanical & neurophysiological effects of cupping, promoting greater tissue elasticity & facilitating the release of fascial adhesions. This integrated method, not only improves blood flow, reduces muscle tension, also helps to increase range of motion & accelerate the healing process. Commonly used in sports medicine to improve recovery, enhance performance prevent injuries. In rehabilitation, cupping therapy is used to manage post-surgical restrictions, improve lymphatic flow & reduce mobility impairment.

  • Theta Healing is a powerful tool that can help individuals improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. By accessing the theta brainwave state, individuals can tap into their unconscious mind and make profound changes that positively impact their lives. The science behind Theta Healing is fascinating and has been studied by researchers all over the world. From neuroscience to quantum physics. There are many different perspectives on how Theta Healing works and why it is so effective.

Neuroscience regarding Theta Healing has been shown to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the body’s rest & relaxation response. When the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, the body can heal itself from stress, anxiety, and other negative emotions. Theta Healing is based on the principles of quantum physics, which states that everything in the universe is made up of energy. By accessing the theta brainwave state, individuals can tap into this energy and make changes at a subatomic level.

  • The science behind negative ions.

Ions are invisible electrified particles that have an effect on our physical & mental well-being. We are exposed to both negative (healthy) & positive (unhealthy) ions everyday.

Negative ions make us feel good, destroy bacteria & decrease inflammation in the body. Most things in nature or natural elements emit negative ions such as being near a waterfall, walking in a forest, salt lamps as they are a natural element, the ocean minerals.

Positive ions make us sick & feel bad. These ions come from electronics, WIFI, screens, battery operated items & electromagnetic pollution. The more positive ion exposure we have, the more our health is susceptible to fail. Being exposed to negative ions is good for our bodies & helps us heal & stay healthy. The footbath system only produces negative ions. Enjoy the journey to better health.

Can the footbath remove heavy metals?

The distributor’s independent third party performed 3 control tests which, showed aluminum, lead, cadmium & other heavy metals both in the footbath water as well as being on the electrode array optimizing unit.

Mercury was unable to be measured within the water or array unit due to its vaporizing nature. It is assumed that any mercury removed may evaporate in the form of vapor, which is not measurable in the tests conducted & therefore unconfirmed. Client feedback noted a positive change in their heavy metal testing before & after footbaths.

    Footbaths

How is detoxification important for my health?

This Ionic Detox Footbath system stimulates the body’s cells energy & creates an osmosis process moving cellular waste from the body. Each footbath will help the body with cellular cleansing & toxin release from the lymph, liver, skin, joints, and other body systems and organs. The process produces 2 reactions:

    1. Energize: the Ionic Footbath generates negative oxygen ions absorbed by the body’s cells,

boosting the cell’s energy & increasing cellular waste removal. This helps the body restore its normal balance & promotes healing and repair. A healthy human cell has a charge of approximately 70-90 millivolts or .7-.9 volts. A cell operates optimally within this range of voltage. Cells that are injured or stressed will measure as low as .1-.2 volts, resulting in both poor waste discharge & poor nutritional absorption. Build up of positive (unhealthy) ions from poor diets, stress & toxic environment will lower a cell’s voltage. The body absorbs the negative oxygen ions generated within the footbath, negating the positive ions (free radicals) The cells are stimulated & energized by the highly charged ions releasing cellular waste & strengthening the cells. The body then begins to function at its normal energy levels.

    2. Osmosis: The Ionic Detox Footbath uses a similar process that is medically approved called Peritoneal Dialysis which uses osmosis to move cellular waste from the body. The footbath creates an ionic osmosis process where water is broken down into highly charged negative (healthy) ions. These ions flow through your body penetrating the cells, oxygenating & energizing them to perform their proper functions & release waste. The negative (healthy) ions also neutralize free radicals (positive/unhealthy ions). The waste is transported via the vascular system where some of the waste is moved out through the feet since the footbath water is much denser than the body’s water. Protein & other types of molecules that are too large to pass through the feet membrane pores will not be removed. The body will only release what is small enough & ready to be released. Any residual waste will be removed through the body’s natural elimination system. Most elimination occurs up to 3-4 days after the treatment. Using the infrared sauna blanket is a great way to continue removing these residual toxins in between footbaths.

Each footbath treatment can affect the body in different ways as it moves towards a healthy balance. Each person is unique & will react differently. Once the body’s energy field is stimulated, the cells release their toxins into the lymphatic system and any cellular waste that is not pulled out during the 30 minute process, will continue to move out through the lymphatic system.

  • Red light therapies also known as photobiomodulation are a proven therapy for healing.

Using wavelengths typically in the range of 600 to 760 nanometers, which can be seen by the human eye.

These wavelengths of light can penetrate the skin and are absorbed by the mitochondria, specifically the chromophores within the mitochondria. This interaction essentially enhances the mitochondrial function, leading to an increase in ATP production, which is the energy currency of the cell. With more ATP, cells can repair & regenerate more effectively. As the red light penetrates the skin, subcutaneous tissue & superficial capillary network it reaches the cells of our immune system (the first responders within our tissues). This is why it can be helpful for tissue repair, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing.

Near Infrared therapy uses red light 760 to 3000 nanometers now invisible to the human eye and can penetrate at a deeper level going through subcutaneous fat & muscles activating enzymes, which now is treating at a systemic level. Promoting faster repair, regeneration & overall improved cellular function for muscle recovery, joint pain, brain health & circulation.

Infrared light therapy uses red light 3000nm to 1mm moving into a more systemic healing by also releasing nitric acid, improving vasodilation & blood flow. Stimulating metabolic active cells, massive blood flow access affecting everything, building up your healing capacity.

    Scientific evidence:

Clinical trials: studies have shown benefits in treating musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, and skin conditions. Shown effectiveness in reducing chronic low back pain & postoperative recovery.

Benefits of red light & infrared light therapies:

Pain reduction: can reduce inflammatory markers, modulate pain pathways, reduce oxidative stress, offering relief for chronic pain conditions, arthritis, joint pain & muscle soreness.

Improved circulation: enhances blood flow & oxygen delivery to tissues, which supports healing & reduces recovery time.

Skin & tissue repair: promotes collagen production, accelerates wound healing, reduces scarring & signs of aging.

Neurological benefits: There is ongoing research for cognitive enhancement & neuroprotection, however emerging research suggests by improving mitochondrial health it supports cognitive function & neuroprotection.
